You Asked, We Have Answers: Q&A With The Cricut Product Team

March 7, 2017 • Contributor: Cricut Social Media Specialist Shelby Jones

We are getting so excited for all the amazing new features coming in Design Space 3. We know you're all patiently waiting for the release, so in the meantime, we want to answer as many top questions as we can. Below our product team answers some of the most asked questions about Design Space 3 ...

Why are you coming out with a new color when we need new software?

We have a huge team of engineers working on the next revision of our software - Design Space 3. We have been working for 18 months and we have ambitious goals on the user experience.

The color of a machine is done in factories and these are driven by trends and user demand. There are over 2-3 million projects being done every month and many of those users are looking for new colors to upgrade.

The software is done by a software team and is a major effort. There are over 1200 users externally using Design Space 3. And we are polishing up the experience.

We also plan to do a sneak peek of Design Space 3 during the HSN airing. Once we feel that the software really delivers the enhanced experience that we are aiming for, we will launch.

Thanks and we appreciate your patience. (Ashish CEO)

What things are going to be fixed with the new software?

No more flash! That means no having to go in and update your flash plug in! We know - we are excited too!

Product Search - the ability to search projects within Design Space and Make It Now projects. Your dream project just got a whole lot easier to find!

No more tabs! Everything you need is already on your canvas screen. Ain’t nobody got time for searching through tabs - spend your time creating instead!

Ps - did we mention there will be a sneak peak of the new software on HSN? Viewing party anyone? (Cortney Haymond Product Marketing Manager)

Why do you only ship to US & Canada and why won’t Design Space subscriptions work outside the US and Canada?

Cricut currently services customers through retail partners in the US, Canadian and UK markets. We have been selectively adding other English-speaking countries around the world and are working to enable our subscription in those markets.

We are committed to helping our customers in current markets lead creative lives and will add additional countries when we can deliver the same experience to them. (Dale Pistilli VP of Marketing)

Will the new software work with my current machine?

The new updated Design Space will have the same machine capabilities as the current machine. So for anyone who has an Explore, Explore one, Explore Air, or Explore Air 2 Design Space will work with your machine.

I know some of you may be wondering whether or not you have to purchase a new machine to use the software, if you have a machine in the Explore family you do not. However just like the current Design Space the update will not work with machines that are older than the original Explore. So if you have been looking for a reason the upgrade, let me tell you, this update to Design Space is just the reason you have been searching for. (Product Marketing Manager Cortney Haymond)

Did we read your mind? Were these the questions you had? Which was your top question that you had?

  1. I purchased a new Cricut Air less then a year ago. I have only used it 2 times and was wondering how would I go about trading it in. Will I be charged an arm and a leg to upgrade to the Air2???

  2. Truly looking forward to DS3, Sounds like a masterpiece in the making. BTW, my Explore 2 is blue; matches my blue moonbeam clock!

  3. Does this mean my new Cricut Explore 2 is outdated already? It came in mail in Illinois while I’m in Minnesota and havent even seen it.
    Gail Crause

    • No the explore series will all still work this is an update for the design space software were you will make the projects.

  4. Well design space beta is not available for saskatchewan Canada I have tried to download it but it’s a no go. Says it’s not available in this area. I was REALLY hoping this would have been fixed by now. I am an android user and in this day of age all app software should be for both apple and Android. I know if seems like a little deal but it would be fun to create fun things on my tablet. I feel that I am not using my cricut as much as i would like just do to the fact I have to run it off of my computer. I love the Cricut and have made some wonderful things and had many people compliment and ask where I got this from. When he tell them about the machine they are interested in it but when you tell them that it’s only apple friendly they lose interest. I hope that this small little glich can be fixed.

  5. I have been with Cricut since March 2009 having all the machines Cricut has made. I was excited when the explore came out and now own 4 of them. I am in New Zealand and am considered New Zealand goto person for cricut. We have to work around getting Cricut into NZ because the current importers DO NOT treat customers and retailers with respect and their customer service has had many person phone me in tears with how they have been treated. Their is a retail shop and importer called that would happily bring them in and they work with me to promote them in NZ. I am desperately waiting for Design space 3 as the flash player is a big problem. We have a major craft show at the beginning of July when I will be promoting Cricut and teaching Design Space. The extras I would like to see is to be able to weld an open path and to have a line that has edit points we can bend. I love designing in Design space and change all my scoring lines to design space score lines as dashed lines take so long to score. We do appreciate all your work but please although we are only a little country that is smaller than your towns we love our Cricuts PLEASE let import them for us.

    • Do you know contact details for a ‘go-to’ in Australia please as live chat was pretty useless when it comes to technical problems?

  6. I’m happy to know that you are working on the flash issue and it will no longer be the thorn in my side! Just ordered the new lilac althogh have only had my mint explore 2 since late December. But I read that I can use multiples at one time, still need to figure that one out. ?

Although there is a big learning curve I have been promoting this product to everyone I meet that has been given the privilege to see my creations! I love my cricut when design space is not failing me and look forward to creating more wonderful things for my granddaughter and my family. Currently making wedding invites for my nieces wedding besides plenty of other projects foe her shower. Everyone is amazed!

Keep up the good work, and one piece of advice if I may, when doing maintenance or upgrades you should let your community know so they are aware of the MW and are not fighting with DS or work around it.

Looking forward to the design space.

    Best regards,
    Miriam Palanchi

  7. My top question is, has the print and cut size been addressed. Also, a way to access the printer and change the printer settings for our printers.

    • I would love to know this as well. Not only the size constraint and the wasted paper but the output images to my Canon printer (and many others’) is absolutely unacceptable. I work with 300 DPI images and design space outputs at about 150, causing my images to look extremely pixelated. Always.

    • Still no way to adjust printer settings, but I’ve found a workaround. I have my desired settings saved in my printing preferences. Fortunately, I also have the ability to check a box for “Always Print with Current Settings”. I’ve checked that box before initiating the print step in DS3. I simply uncheck that box when I’m done. I don’t know if all printers will have this option – I’m using a Canon MX520.

  8. Please contract with Rhonna Designs on Social media. Cricut is losing 100s if not 1,000s of new customers because her app is number one in the market. Silhouette has joined her team and she recommends that company because she felt shunned by Cricut. Really bad move on Cricut’s part and your company needs to be apart of her team. She doesn’t ask for free designs, in fact any of your designs are paid like they are on your plan. Cricut had every chance to rise and outshine the competition. I felt Cricut needed to know.

    • I have the Rhonna Designs app, not sure what it has anything to do with Cricut. Her app isnt even all that great.

  9. Having used the Silhouette program for quite a number of years I find it a dream. If the software of Silhouette could be combined with the hardware of Cricut it would be ideal. And Silhouette designs are far more sophisticated and varied. I bought my Cricut about 6 months ago and find it very difficult to design my own ideas/shapes. Just to write phrases is more complicated. It’s even difficult to get Cricut tutorials on the subject I’m interested in. It’s a shame because I love cutting with Cricut – it’s much easier and quieter.

  10. I am a UK customer that purchases items from you via the uk design space but get very frustrated not being able to purchase your new releases either supplies or images and whilst raising this over the years nothing has been done to rectify this loads of promises but no action. Disney cartridges that have been released and available for us to buy are not shown so not available. can someone action this instead of doing nothing to resolve this issue.

  11. All your news is exciting. I am a newbie with my explore air..will I be able to use design space 3 with my machine? As I said I am a newbie so this might be a very silly question to ask.

  12. “why won’t Design Space subscriptions work outside the US and Canada?”

I think it would make sense to not mix it with “Cricut currently services customers through retail partners in the US, Canadian and UK markets.” – Customers deciding for Cricut all over the world are sure capable of handling support requests in Englisch language. But actively preventing such customers from doing business with you doesn’t look like a good idea.

So, what are you waiting for? All this stuff works over the internet and the internet does not have borders. (only artifically and they don’t work very well)

  13. You have come a long way since the beginning of your computer program and I commend you on this! I was cleaning out some things the other day and came across instructions on the original Design Studio, yes Studio. We had to be almost be computer programmers back then. Thank you!

  14. Hello, I am from Colombia and I recently bought a cricut explore 2, everything I have to ask from the United States because in my country there is no support, it would be important to look at new alternatives and expand without so many restrictions to other countries

  15. I heard that the Android version is now in beta testing. My question is, is there a projected date for the launch. I am not buying the air 2 until I know that I won’t have to go out and buy an ipad. I don’t have any computer or laptop, so that would mean another major money expenditure that I don’t want.

  16. Good afternoon, I live in Lima, Peru and I would like to know if it is possible to work in my country as a Cricut distributor. I have tried to communicate with you several times but no one can tell.

  17. hi,

i just purchased Cricut Explorer Air 2 (Mint Color). Can you tell me how to close the cover after use?

    • Min Ko,
While you open the machine by clicking the open button, there is no button to close it. All you have to do is close it manually by lifting the front flap and lowering the top one until they click closed.

      Hope that answered your question.

  18. Hi,
I just purchased my Cricut Air 2 (mint color). Will I be able to update my software or will I have to purchase a new machine?

    • I just got an Air 2 for Christmas. ..DS 3 better not cost anything to upgrade, or have us lose our projects we have already done.

    • It’s the same machine they are just launching a new color with the new software, no need to get a new machine, software is compatible with all Cricut explore machines.

  19. Ok, so you’re “updating” Design Space. Is this going to cause problems with our machines? When Cricut notified us of a software update due to Microsoft no longer supporting Internet Explorer, we were instructed to change our browsers to Firefox or Chrome. When we did that, a lot of us lost the use of our Print Then Cut feature on our machines. That was the reason I purchased the Explore Air! I own over 200 cartridges that I can no longer use the Print Then Cut feature with. This also happened with the Gypsy a few years ago. That little gem was updated right into oblivion! And now, HSN is selling the new lavendar Explore Air 2 without even mentioning that there is a problem with the Print Then Cut feature for some users. In all fairness, Cricut did offer to send me a new machine. Which I am very grateful for. It came pre-calibrated and tested. Problem is, the Print Then Cut feature still doesn’t function! I wanted to purchase the new machine until I read on YouTube that a woman who purchased it was having problems getting the Print Then Cut feature to operate. Couldn’t you please research this and find a solution so that we can have our machines back to full function??

  20. Is it possible to get some fonts in french? It would be appreciated if you could do it. I am a Canadian, french speaking and all my cards are for french speakinf peoples. I love working with my Cricut explorer air and I also love Cricut creating space.

    • Hi Monique,
Right now that is not possible to do with Design Space, but we hope to be able to work towards that!

  21. I purchased the Cricut Air less than a year ago only used it 3-4 times – Will you be offering ways to trade/upgrade to the new Air2?

  22. Dear Cricut and Anna, I recently purchased the A/G tool set with paper trimmer, my comment is, “I was very bummed that the trimmer blade cover was in grey instead of gold”. Can you please send me the cover for the trimmer so it matches. I spent a lot buying the newer cricut and tool kit even though my original explore works great. Also, the carry tote for the machine, it doesn’t cover the machine properly to keep dust out, can you please design a new carry bag for our cricut s. I really like the new cricut cover, it covers and really protects the cricut so much better, problem is, I just don’t have the money for the new bad. Thanks for the great things you do, I’m just asking for a couple of minor changes. Thanks so much

  23. Hi again, I’m not finding any new cartridges, am I missing them? If so, where do I find them, please and thank you
    A loyal fan

    • You can see the cartridges by selecting Images in Design Space, then clicking on Cartridges in the upper right.

  24. @Monique pilon

You can use all fonts you have on your computer. For example I used a cyrillian text with fonts supporting it and it worked… somehow. All I noticed was DS becoming quite slow.

  25. I got my Cricut for Christmas but only did the sample card that comes with my Cricut….I am looking forward to using it more in the future for my quilt projects….so my primary reason is to use it on fabric for applique…hope to see more fabric related projects!

  26. Is there any thought to make a Cuttlebug in white for those of us there Is not a matching color to our Cricut, like turquoise!!

  27. When you already have design studio with purchased cartridges in there, and you buy a new air 2 and get free designs-how do you do this?

    • All of your purchased cartridges are linked to your account, so they will be available for use with your Air 2, along with any free designs.

  28. I hadn’t reviewed all my email so I didn’t know about Design Space 3 until I saw the preview on HSN (I record the craft shows). It looks really nice – I like the ability to see projects in a larger size. It was a really quick preview and this was the first I had heard of DS3. When will it be out? I hope it doesn’t take as long as Design Space for Android – still waiting/wishing.
Will Cricut be showing previews soon?
Will it work with our current Cricuts? (I have Explore Air).
    Thank you!

  29. I am a UK user and use my Cricut Explore for many projects, including cutting crests and badges to be included in memorabilia picture frames that i design and build. I do hope that the new design space 3 will allow me to measure in metric for my project sizes, the old imperial measuring system (inches) is no longer in use here in the UK or indeed in the majority of the world, so please don’t just support the US, support all of your users world wide and allow us to decide if we want to measure in imperial or metric.

  30. I have an Explore Air and have the monthly subscription for fonts, etc. My subscription is active until April 2017, however it is trying to charge me for these fonts and will not let me cut my projects without payment. I have already paid for these.

    • Sometimes logging out and clearing your cache can help this hiccup in your account. If not, contact us through and we can help you troubleshoot.

  31. Did you have any other colors coming out this year? I would really like to have a black one.

  32. I cant believe the print size hasnt been addressed yet and I really really cant believe u have to be online to use a cut machine.I was so happy but it is wearing off and getting frustrated now. I wonder if cricut even cares about its customers,I sure dont feel they do.

  33. I am also a person who loves Rhonna designs. I have all of her stuff in my phone and have used her all of her scrapbooking and designs in the past. She is amazing. She would be an asset to Cricut and their subscribers. I bought my cricut explorer air 2 in mint green when it was the TSV. Haven’t had a chance to use it yet due to knee surgery but guess that will be a good thing since now DS3 is coming out. Excited!!

  34. Is there a reason Cricut DS does NOT have shaped text??
Is there a reason Cricut DS does NOT let you cut all the way to the borders, using 100% of the vinyl??
Is there a reason it is sooo hard to find the link for the handbook?
Is there a reason your page is not more thorough with troubleshooting?

  35. When will you actually fix DS app for Android users that don’t have ios nothing and recently bought an Air 2? I don’t like that I need to turn on my computer all the time to go create new projects?…if I would have known the app store wasn’t compatible with the cricut DS, I would’ve wait until this old issue is fix to buy a Cricut! Find it frustrating that there’s time to update software and sites, but no time fixing an app? OVER A YEAR NOW

  36. This is an update on the Print Then Cut issue. Apparently, there is a problem with the Explore series working with browsers. Firefox doesn’t work with Win10 and Chrome doesn’t print the calibration sheet. Please contact Cricut Support at 877-727-4288. I spoke with an Advanced Associate and he was able to get my machine working properly once again. Although this is a temporary fix, there are updates coming in a few months that will take care of the issue permanently! Thank God!

  37. It looks like from some of the responses – that some people don’t understand your answers to the top questions, or that you did NOT explain them very well. I personally don’t understand the months and months it has taken to get the software right and its still not ready . Your tease of Design Space 3 was very short and few people saw it or understood its improvements. Design Space has been bad from day one in Feb 2014 with the Adobe Flash plugin. That plugin should have never been a requirement. It has caused untold issues – especially with people who had no idea what the minimum system requirements were to run Design Space. I know you state the requirements on your website etc. – but in the demo’s on HSN where the product sees the most visability at launches of new colors and new models of the Explore – etc. – very little is told via the demo’s about the requirements you need and that it would be best to exceed them, given that you state as the software improves, the requirements may change. If you provided a cloud software program that worked for everyone from day one, there would be little need for answering so many customer service calls or complaints, complaining about Adobe Flash issues, and sluggish performance of Design Space. Also people ask more about curving text, or having cursive fonts write out as the designer intended, vs the way Design Space, types out each letter apart from each other letter than have asked for more colors. And for the past 3 yrs, those who loved the option of Print then Cut, have been asked for a larger printable area on a 8×11.5 sheet of material. Cricut has done nothing for any of those continual requests and has never said they would address them. You really need to up your communication skills or your customers need to have better reading comprehension skills or maybe you could include links to access more information via your page. While a variety of colors are nice, it is hardly important if working in the software is an annoying exercise for several Explore owners.

  38. Would love to be able to BUY something in Estonia. The machines are being distributed with absolutely no possibility to pay for subscription. Please tell me, how can I give you my money in exchange for some images to cut? Any suggestions? Workarounds?

  39. I’m looking forward to no Flash! Will this fix the problem with losing projects? When I hit the “Save As” button, many times it will overwrite my previos project. Last night I saved my project successfully and then started a “New” project with a blank canvas. I saved the New project with a different name, and it overwrote my first project. I was very upset…spent hours on that first project! This has happened numerous times. I have probably “lost” 8-10 projects over the past few months. This is extremely frustrating, never able to trust your project will be there when needed. I am no stranger to technology and am doing everything I should be. Please address this problem. If I’m the only one this happens to, I sure would like to know what I’m doing wrong.

  40. I volunteer at the Tool Station at Craft shows. I own the Cricut Air 2. I would love to be apart of your team to test your new materials. By showing Cricut customers how awesome your products are.

  41. We are doing a craft room and want to buy a Cricut….what package should I buy and other necessary items to get started?

  42. Has anyone else experienced issues in design space where fonts/images are no longer free. I pay the monthly subscription and I’m starting to wonder what I am paying for, because the images and things that were once included are no longer included and what’s left is VERY limited. It’s pretty frustrating to pay a monthly fee with very little to show for it…

  43. I am praying you add a favorite button to each “make it now” product and “images” from search bar. Like in Etsy when you are scrolling through items you can quickly hit the heart symbol in the upper right corner of the product image to add to your favorites. There is nothing more infuriating than to scroll through the “make it now” projects and when you come across one you want to do you actually have to open it, click save to add it to your projects and then back out of it (which for the most part puts you all the way back up to the top of the “make it now” page so you have to scroll all the way down to where you were. If you could make it to where you could browse through the projects or images and select to add it to your favorites without leaving the page then you could go to your favorites page and select the projects or images you want to work on. I see so many things on the “make it now” projects page but I get so tired of having to stop and open the project and then save it so I won’t forget about it before scrolling through the remainder of the projects available. Please add a favorites page or at least a favorites or save icon to each “make it now” project. That way as you scroll you can save all the projects that grab your attention.

  44. [ am looking at a Provo craft personal and was wondering if i can use the personal design program to make my own designs online?

  45. Does Cricut accommodate a transfer pencil to be used to write/outline patterns for embroidery (to iron on the pattern and wash out the pencil markings when embroidery is complete?

    • You would need a transfer pencil that is wide enough to be snug and not slip out when the latch is closed. If it isn’t, something like possibly wrapping that section of the pencil with tape or using a pencil grip may help.

  46. I’ve been told that you guys scrapped the Canvas Panel. WHY? That was one of the more useful parts of DS.

  47. I would like to see the font name used in the design space designs. That way when you get ready to do the design, you would be able to recreate it.

  48. My biggest concern as a long time Cricut user & owner of 3 generations of Cricut machines is this: Since our Cricut Explore machines run via Design Space which requires certain versions of OS, browsers, etc on your computer, what happens to the users who can’t upgrade their computer system? Unfortunately my Mac computer can no longer be upgraded. Will there be any way to use the older version of Design Space if we choose to ( and not just for a limited time)? At some point I will have to seriously consider whether it’s worth buying a new computer just to keep up with Cricut software even after investing much money over the years in your product ( also the reason I still own an Expression & all my cartridges). Please understand that I think what you are doing with Design Space is great & I love my machines and although I understand (as a former software developer) that this is the normal computer/software business model, please consider letting the user have a little control over whether they run the latest version of DS for more than just a couple of months.

  49. Wow beautiful my favorite color .. i want one .. i love work with cricut and learn a lots . Same program cricut explorar air and cricut explorar air 2 same but only faster ? .. thanks .. store o online i want one ? THANKS 🙂

  50. HI !
beautiful my favorite colors (lilac) how online or store ? i want one ?
same program cricut desgin space circut air and air 2 and air 3 ? what same or different ?

    Thanks 🙂

  51. Why does my new design space take so long to load and cut. This never happened before we updated to the new version?

  52. Totally frustrated. I designed a project, cut several, came back and it wouldn’t let me cut and received a message “remove exclusive content”. Was told to restart computer, did it and was able to continue to cut. Go back to project today to complete and now getting same message. Restarted computer and still not able to cut. What do I have to do now?

  53. Wanting to sell the supplies and Cricut machine. But now the g giant Walmart has destroyed my dream. Some items is cheaper at Walmart than shopping on the Cricut site. What can I do to make sells?

  54. Hey, will you guys be fixing the absolutely horrendous print quality with Print and Cut? It’s ridiculous how low the resolution is with the images sent from Design Space to my printer. I have to use a really time consuming workaround to print from Photoshop in order to have my images print correctly and at high resolution with my Canon. THIS IS A WELL KNOWN PROBLEM THAT MAKES PRINT AND CUT USELESS THROUGH DESIGN SPACE.

  55. Does cricut air 2 have an offline mode? I don’t have broadband internet but I really want a new machine. It’s too bad you don’t make this usable without broadband internet, I can’t be the only one out there who has requested this, I know why this machine is so pricey, Cricut can make more money selling the cricut air 2 with design space and all the bells and whistles, just don’t forget some of us old time crafters just want to keep things simple.

    • You could still buy a earlier version of cricut, like the original expression. I still have mine that worked one inserted cartridge at a time no internet needed. At it would be less expensive just more money for cartridges.

  56. I love my machine but I am English but live in France so can’t subscribe which I am not happy about at all, you say you are adding countries but that speak english so I guess France will not be added. Surely there must be a way I can subscribe please help.

  57. Bad!!Have Mac desktop now my cricut air 2 will not work it just worked this week! There’s got to be a result
    Aggravated ?

  58. When will HSN be showing the new software, don’t want to miss it. I’m on the West coast Seattle area.

  59. Why are so many items including the new simplicity patterns, Disney etc not available in Canada?
I would upgrade to cricut maker, by why bother if I cant’ purchase content ?

  60. When is the cricket maker going to be shown on HSN and I seen it a while back but I can’t find anything getting a date when

  61. i’ve been trying to make stickers on the cricut explore air and it keep saying not responding. is it got to do with my internet or something? and also it shows the warning with the plug in… pls help… thanks

  62. PLEASE restore the set canvas setting. It was VERY helpful in determining the proper size of my design!

  63. With this new machine will I be able to take a picture that I created and get it into the machine to use? Or is it only Cricits featured pictures we can use?
    Thank you

  64. I am totally upset that I don’t have the option of reinstalling Design Space 2. I am on a limited budget and can not afford a new computer. The new software requires Windows 8 and I have Windows 7. Sorry, but I wasted a lot of money on my Explore which now I can no longer use because of Design Space 3.

  65. I have a Cricut Explore purchased in Canada. We move to uk next year – will it work or do I need to replace my machine?

  66. When will Linux be supported? Or better, be able to cut standard files? What about something like an Octo-Pi frontend?

  67. I haven’t used my mini in a while and when I try to open it says service error. Help

  68. I want to purchase the Air 2 everything bundle but cant fimd this on the UK website. Can i have this shipped to the UK from the US based site?

  69. When do you expect to have a launch for Cricut Air 3? I have the Explore One- and Im perfectly happy with it as I have the wireless dongle for it…. don’t see a reason to spend $ for the Air 2 and def don’t need all the bells and whistles of the Maker since I am strictly paper crafting. I would think something would be offered sometime next year?

  70. Why is this update taking so long? It has been a week now and I still cant get on my Explore Air 2. I am beginning to wonder why I bought the design space yearly if I keep missing days that I could us it. Please help me.

  71. I have two Expressions and both stopped cutting at almost the same time. I also have over 40 cartridges. I am confused as to whether or not I can use my cartridges on an Explorer. I understand that there is a cartridge port on the side. That’s great. But what about all of the talk about the cartridges being linked to an account? I bought each and everyone of my cartridges brand new. They are “one owners”. But in all of my years of being a cricut owner, I have never heard about creating an account or registering my cartridges. What does this mean for me? Does Cricut have some mysterious way of keeping track of who bought what? Or have I thrown lots of money down the drain? (I am a newly retired educator, so we know where I am financially). I am not a satisfied Cricut customer at the moment and I think Cricut can do better than they currently are. I am hoping for answers.. and quickly. I have started a book for my expectant daughter and the coming grandson that is suppose to go through his first year. I started with the Nursery Rhyme cartridge, but am now in limbo. Bottom line, what is this account that I keep hearing about?

  72. I am interested in purchasing and live in Saint Lucia but your mobile app is not available here what can i do and should I bother purchasing due to this would love if i got feed BACK ASAP

    • Hi Diana,

I don’t believe that St. Lucia has Google Play support. However, it should be available through any iOS applications or you may also use the desktop app. Hope that helps.

  73. Please tell me why you limit my print and cut sizes. Why can’t i do a full 12 inches or at least 8.5×11 do i am not wasting expensive vinyl or waterslide paper? Thank you,

    • Hi Richard,

Print Then Cut is limited by various factors such as design, sensor marking, and printer margin compatibility. Due to these limitations, maximum image size for Print Then Cut is 9.25″ x 6.75″ and the default material size is 8.5″ x 11″. Though, our team is constantly trying to improve functionality and we will pass along your thoughtful feedback. Please learn more about Print Then Cut at this help article.

  74. Can you tell me what material the adhesive is made of? I am looking for approval for this to be placed on a work wall space, and I want to make sure it is a fire-safe product. Thank you!

    • Hi Cindi, unfortunately, there is not a simple answer to this question as many variables come into play. If you wouldn’t mind connecting with our Member Care team, they will be able to provide you with a more detailed answer depending on your specific use case and Cricut material.
