One Couple’s Wedding Journey: The Reception

It’s Your Story. Make It Personal.

The vows have been made. Parents cried. Friends grinned. A flower girl tossed handfuls of rose petals and watched them dance in the air. And now that the single most important moment in their lives has been celebrated, it’s time to see how our fabulous Cricut couple, Hailey and Brent, made the most of their DIY Reception. Incorporating all those details that made their Rehearsal Dinner and Wedding truly one-of-a-kind, their Reception brought in their more playful sides and gave everyone a chance to relax and enjoy the day. It was truly a dream come true….

Welcome to the Reception of the year! This lovely DIY sign incorporates the exquisite lace pattern from Hailey’s dress.

After the emotional ceremony, the new Mr. and Mrs. took a moment for themselves. Their chair signs proclaimed their status.

A sumptuous entry table greeted the wedding guests upon arrival. There, they were encouraged to write a message for the couple in the Guest Book and picked up their place cards. Of course, everything was written out in the event’s signature font designed for this day!

In the perfect shade of blush, these elegant DIY place cards carried the lace theme and stood out on a cork base.

The reception tables were breathtaking! Our gracious wedding partner, FiftyFlowers, contributed all the flowers for the Reception, as they had for the Rehearsal Dinner and Ceremony. Renowned for providing beautiful blooms at wholesale prices, their direct-from-the-farm flowers were then arranged by floral designer extraordinaire Rachael MacLaughlin of Roots Flowers, Inc. After Hailey and Brent, this was the most popular match at the wedding!

It was impossible to wander past these eye-catching centerpieces.  Easy DIY wine labels made sure every guest got to the right spot.

Hailey’s lace motif reappeared on the guests’ menus. As a crowning touch, delicate paper flowers lined each place.

Guests let loose with a rousing game of Tic-Tac-Toe. The oversized “X’s” and “O’s” were perfectly playful symbols of love.

Guests also had fun with a personalized cornhole game, complete with details from the wedding!

Cutting the marriage cake was bittersweet, considering how beautiful it was! Using her Cricut, Hailey used gold glitter cardstock to decorate the cake’s upper tier with flowers and the lower tier with material floral cutouts.

And because the wedded couple needed an appropriate spot to receive their guests, these Lord and Lady pillows were created with iron-on and a just a bit of cheekiness.

White vinyl decals gave a charming twist to the dessert table and carried through the tone of regal playfulness.

The evening could not have been more magical! Food, games, dance, dessert… every element reflected the couple’s journey together.

Thoughtful through and through, Hailey put a small but sweet thank-you gift at each guest’s place.

And as the new couple slipped off for their honeymoon, Hailey made sure the last project—a Just Married sign attached to a gorgeous, 1964 Austin Princess Vanden Plas—was done in the wedding font she loved so much.

With that, Hailey and Brent’s wedding journey comes to an incredible end as their married life begins. Cricut imagined and created over 100 amazing projects for this unforgettable event, and we’re pretty impressed how many of them the couple will be able to repurpose for other DIY crafts or use as décor in their home. Relive every heartfelt moment in their sensational wedding video.

And most important of all, always remember… “It’s Your Story. Make It Personal.”
