One Couple’s Wedding Journey: The Ceremony

It’s Your Story. Make It Personal.

Hailey and Brent’s journey to “happily ever after” continues with this close-up look at their Ceremony. (If you didn’t get the chance to pull up a chair at their Rehearsal Dinner, check it out here). Love is in the details, and the details were lovely! Featuring stunning Cricut projects, their walk down the aisle was a truly spectacular example of our wedding program’s refrain: “It’s your story. Make it personal.”

Hailey created a gown with family history.

It’s the moment at a wedding when everyone pays attention: the first glimpse of the bride. Hailey wanted her wedding dress to reflect not only who she is, but also where she came from… and she did this in a remarkable way. The pattern on her gown is based on a treasured family heirloom: a baby blanket used when her relatives originally came to this country many generations ago.

A combination of something old and something new, Hailey’s dress was unforgettable.

To transform Hailey’s vision into reality, Cricut turned to the gifted team at Avenia Bridal. Using the vintage lace design, they created a dress that is not only stunning, but also reflective of Hailey’s family legacy. The happy bride noted, “I love incorporating the traditional with the modern and then making it entirely my own.” We couldn’t agree more!

Hailey and Brent said “I do” to each other— and to a DIY wedding event—standing under a lush arbor made with fresh farm-to-event blooms seamlessly combined with Cricut paper crafts.

As they did with the Rehearsal Dinner, our fabulous partner FiftyFlowers, founded by husband and wife Blu Atwood and Liza Roeser, helped make Hailey and Brent’s wedding breathtaking by designing the stunning floral arbor.

Easy on the eyes and on the budget, DIY paper crafts can enrich a wedding day, and then be repurposed in pieces for a couple’s home. Rich shades of green and gold embellished the arbor used at Hailey and Brent’s ceremony.

Designer Rachael MacLaughlin of Roots Flowers, Inc. created the ceremony’s floral masterpieces, including these fun and fresh bouquets for the bridesmaids.

In addition to her gown, Hailey incorporated the lace pattern into other elements of her day, making a unique motif. Here it appears as the cover of the wedding program.

Voilà! A wedding souvenir to cherish forever.

Just the right shade of pink combined with romantic lanterns and festive petals set the scene for a perfectly personalized exchange of vows.

The bride and groom took a moment to savor their day.
