Are you familiar with Trompe-l’oeil? It means “deceive the eye” in French for those linguists out there! It’s a technique that makes a painting or design appear three-dimensional through optical illusion. The technique originated in the Baroque period and it’s still going strong today! When brainstorming for her second set of T-shirt designs (If you missed our Matisse T-shirt line, make sure you check it out), The House That Lars Built wanted to create whimsical Trompe-l’oeil-inspired designs, and that’s what the ‘Fooled Ya! T-Shirt Collection’ is all about! No need to add too many additional accessories because these shirts include them for you.

We love these shirt designs because the art is so beautiful and it dresses up any shirt! With our Everyday Iron on with StrongBond ™ Guarantee, you can wear these beautiful designs time and time again! They dress up a pair of jeans and are perfect designs for a shower, brunch with friends or a date with your special someone!

Take a look at all the designs and let us know which one is your favorite!

Find Your Inspiration with 5 Little Monsters

August 20th, 2018 • Contributor: Cricut Blog Team

In this week’s installment of Cricut’s t-shirt collections, we bring you a collaboration with Erica Dietz of the blog 5 Little Monsters, Erica’s inspiration for this collection was inspiration itself, as she looked to create a line of tees that were positive and uplifting.

Each of the tees in this collection carries a specific affirmation, which stands out because of her fabulous use of the contrasting white on black. Erica continued her contrast theme all around on this collection, as she specifically chose a bold, block font and paired it with a thin, script font to create a typography element.

This collection can be made in any size - perfect for utilizing our newest EasyPress2!

Damask Love T-Shirts

A Collection of T-Shirts from Damask Love That Will Give You All The Feels

August 3rd, 2018 • Contributor: Cricut Blog Team

We’re so excited to bring you our next featured t-shirt collection from a VERY special guest designer, Amber Kemp-Gerstel of Damask Love. Amber is a long-time DIY-er, Cricut lover, and most recently, reality TV show star! You can catch her Tuesday nights on NBC’s new maker show, Making It, with hosts Amy Poehler and Nick Offerman.

Amber’s new t-shirt collection features seven designs, all of which were inspired by her mantra of living a positive life with pops of color. Amber is “passionate about uplifting the maker in everyone she meets,” and we think her bright and cheerful collection will bring crafters everywhere a lot of sunshine on any cloudy day.

See what Amber herself has to say about what inspired her collection!

Amber’s collection is adaptable to all three of the new EasyPress sizes; we especially love the use of the smallest machine for a perfect pocket-sized (and shaped!) design.
