Summer Bucket List Week 6

July 11, 2016 • Contributor: Caitlin Jolley, Cricut

Whether you’re celebrating the Fourth of July or the longest days of the year, this week’s bucket list is all about summertime adventure and play! From sparklers to concerts, we’re helping you celebrate all the special activities that scream summer.

  1. MAKE A SNOW CONE GAME
Summertime, and the living’s easy! Send your kids outside with a darling snow cone match game to play in the sun. The magnet material makes it fun and simple. This adorable match game is an easy Make It Now project available in Design Space.

  1. GO BOWLING
When was the last time you went bowling? When it’s too hot to be outside and you still want to be active, bowling is a blast!

  1. BUILD A TREEHOUSE
Yes, this really could be the summer that you finally build a treehouse for your kids! This post from Crafting a Green World teaches the best way to build a treehouse that’s safe and sound for you and the tree.

  1. ADD CLASSIC IRON-ON
Yearning for the good ol’ days of Mario Brothers and Pac-Man? Get back to your childhood, and pull out some old video games this week. We’ve even got the perfect Make It Now project to show off that old-school style in Design Space.

  1. DIY COLORING PAGES
It's undeniably the hottest trend out there right now: adult coloring books. Whether you’re a modern Matisse or an aspiring artist who last picked up colored pencils in elementary school, these pages will give you stunning results. It’s so easy to just print or draw, color, and enjoy!
  1. CREATE A TERRARIUM
The terrarium trend is cropping up everywhere (see what we did there?). Beat summer boredom by making a terrarium that’s impossible to kill! These easy Make It Now cacti are the perfect way to add some style, whimsy, and fun to your office or home.

  1. VISIT THE ZOO
Head to the zoo for some education and inspiration! Then take your love of African wildlife and safaris to the next level with this fun 3D faux rhino head.

  1. CRAFT WITH POPSICLE STICKS
Remember all those popsicles you ate in Week 1? Well, hopefully you saved the sticks (if not, you have the perfect excuse to eat a bunch more!). Put those leftover popsicle sticks to good use and make something fun. Check out these super easy, fun popsicle stick crafts for kids from Pop Sugar.
